"BECKY" Don't tell me that "Becky" is still talking. She surely is always making unnecessary noise, yet she gets things done. "Becky" made a deep impression on her classmates with her everlasting humor. |
"JUNIOR" Doris' sweet personality and quiet manner have won places in all our hearts, and especially in that of our president. Her neatness should set an example for us all. |
"MAGGIE" "BURNSIE" Marguerite Burns "Whether it's in a hospital or a chemical laboratory, we're sure that our quiet, studious member will succeed because of her perseverance. |
|
"MINKA" Smart? Yes. Good dancer? You bet! Popular? Of course. Good athlete? Uh-huh. Good artist? The best. In spite of her habitual borrowing, "Minka's" personality will see her through. |
"CRATE" "Crate," our master-mind, has more knowledge of the dictionary than any of her classmates. Not that she uses flowery words, but her English compositions certainly make ours look sick. And we all know how she loves to win when she argues. |
"JAKE" "Jake" is a regular fellow! Whenever there is work to be done, he's there, ready, willing and able. His qualities as an efficient treasurer and a capable stenographer will lead him far. |
|
"BARNEY" Like a flash of lightning--never a dull moment--backbone of the cheering squad--once a bashful, quiet girl, but golly, look at her now. That's Barney, although she "can't get Louisiana off her mind." |
"FARMER" Put! Put! Put! Here comes "Farmer" in his truck. Here is represented our only bashful boy who gets up every morning at five-thirty to deliver milk in spite of his rather late nightly drives at Lowell's with his feline friend. Here, Kittie, Kittie, Kittie. |
"PADIDDLE" La petite fille--a bundle of vitality and personality--although she is always putting her foot in it, we all know she means well and will succeed. |
|
"FREDDIE" Good morning, madam, yes, but they're only two for a quarter. Three guesses. That's right. It's Freddie, Patrick's expert salesman. His gentlemanly manner and studious habits assure us that he will have a successful college career. |
"BARB" Barbara is one of the more industrious members of the class, always polite and absolutely correct in her behavior. Her wittiness will make her a companionable secretary. |
"DICK" Why in the world did you shun us so? We really didn't get a chance to know you. He is that reserved boy who occasionally has some funny remark or motion to make. |
|
"MAC" "Mac" is one of those fellows who believes in being seen and not
heard. But one of our demure Junior girls might |
"DOC" Although we've only known him for a year, we soon discovered that not only was he a good student, but he was also capable of making good records in tennis, basketball, baseball, and romance. Perhaps everyone doesn't think that these things go together, but "Doc" is one exception to all rules. |
"STINKY" Mary is our choice for the All-American girl. She's gay and humorous. She's argumentative and convincing. In all our associations with her, we have found Mary to be earnest, fair and able. No matter what she undertakes, she is sure to come out on top with a smile. |
|
"CULVERT" Say, who is that good-looking boy staring at himself in the mirror? Why, don't you know? It's "Culvert" our glamour boy. He is debonair and what a way he has with the women! We're sure he'll succeed in painting the pretty damsels. |
"MARDY" "Mardy's" chief interests lie in dancing and basketball. Although we saw very little of her at school, we believe that most of her time was taken up by outside work. We often wondered what caused the far-away look in her eyes. Perhaps it's Newport |
"PENNY" Nellie's careful manner of speaking shows that she thinks before she speaks. Her friendly smile and polite, considerate manner bear out our opinion that she is a pleasant and likeable person, who certainly has a way with the opposite sex. |
|
"SQUIRT" Let us introduce you to a little miss who has strong likes and dislikes. As for her classroom conduct, she was usually the answer to a teacher's prayer. Because of her competent secretarial ability, she'll go far. |
"CUDDLES" Shhh--"Cuddles" is going to answer a question! Her voice is so soft that it is almost impossible to hear her unless the room is absolutely quiet. Perhaps she's shy; nevertheless, this proves the point that women don't chatter. |
"MA" Flashing smile--contagious giggle--bubbling personality--willing to lend a hand. And who will ever forget her portrayal of Ma Ruggles in our senior play? Not one of us. |
|
"TINK" His smile, his sense of fair play, and his politeness are his best assets, and since blushing and Doris are his only weaknesses, he has made us an excellent president for the hardest years of high school. Thanks a million, "Tink." |
"GIN" When we hear the expression, "It smells," we all know that "Gin" is coming. Although she was one person who seldom agreed with anyone, we all liked to have her around because of her willingness to help. |
"NAT" "Nat's" loyalty to her best friends make others want to know her better. She will be an ideal secretary, in which position her neatness and exactness will keep things running smoothly. |
|
"DUVAL" "I don't think that's fair. She gave all the other kids good marks, and I got only a C+" That's "Duval" all over. Nevertheless, she always had a kind word for everyone, and we all enjoyed her presence. |
