If you think this bio is going to be anything like Ray Midgley's, (I am in awe) or even remotely interesting, click off now.

After graduating from "good old" HHS, I went one year to a two year college, Endicott. Then I went two years to a four-year college, University of Maine. (Just because my parents loved it I thought I would) Well, forget it. It was too cold.

Did I get any diploma for 3 years of extended schooling? No,.I lost credits instead...so, in a weak moment, I got married …not to my childhood sweetheart but to a guy I met during Hell Week. (The jury's still out as to whether it was his weak moment or mine.) We ran off, tied the knot (he says ball and chain) and oddity of oddities, I'm still married to him after 46 years...not an easy task. (As an alternative to getting a College Diploma I wouldn't recommend it, lost credits or no)

We settled down in a small town near Hopedale called Holden, and have been here ever since. We added to the population four times. After that it was 20 years of volunteering for the schools, the hospital, the church, the Farm League, The Little League, the Babe Ruth League, Pop Warner Football, etc., etc., etc. (I told you this was going to be boring.) I've made more chocolate chip cookies for fund-raisers than Sara Lee...(and I'm still making them for the grandchildren.) After the children left the homestead. I had all this time on my hands to play. (forget the volunteering...I had had enough of that.) and WORK was out of the question. So I played. I wanted to do the fun things like tennis, skiing, cleaning the pool (1 just threw that in to see if you were still awake) and golf. You can scratch the latter out. If there is golf in Hell, and I'm convinced there is, they don't have to change a thing. My sport of choice now is walking...if the sun is out, and if the wind isn't blowing too hard, and if it isn't raining, and if it isn't too cold, and if well you get my drift.

My daughter works for United Airlines so we can fly free to any place in the world. So where do we go? Back and forth to Florida...DUH am I missing something? My passport says I've been to England, France, Scotland, Bermuda and Hawaii...however been there, done that, can't remember. I think I'm going to Italy this fal1..(I must consult my 'senior moment' calendar. Yep, if it's Tuesday it must be Venice)

I'm looking forward to seeing all my old classmates at our 5Oth reunion. I hope they can recognize me. (Even my wrinkles have wrinkles...Have you ever seen a wrinkled wrinkle? Not a pretty sight!) Oh well, at least I'm still on this side of the grass, so that's a plus...depending on whom you talk to. You might wonder why I'm writing such a colorless and dull bio. Well, it's for two reasons. 1. It's so others who have simply led a low key life since high school, who are holding back from writing their bios, can now do so without embarrassment. And 2. Glenis made me
…I need a nap.

Bio from the Class of 1951 50th reunion

After high school I went to a two-year college, Endicott Junior College, but after a year I transferred to the University of Maine. I met Clark there, and after college we got married, settled in Holden (near Worcester), and have been there for forty-six years, where Clark has had his general contracting business.

We added to the population four times, and then it was volunteering for twenty years-schools, hospital, church, the Farm League, Little League, Babe Ruth League, Pop Warner football, and on and on. I have made more cookies for fundraisers for my children than Mrs. Fields has for profit, and I'm still doing it for my grandchildren. When the children left, volunteering and work were out, so I played. That included tennis, skiing, cleaning the pool (that was not play), and golf (which I am not very good at). My choice of sport now is walking-if the sun is out, if the wind isn't blowing too hard, if it isn't raining, if it isn't too cold, and so on.

My daughter works for United Airlines, so we fly free anywhere, back and forth to Florida mostly, but we've also been to England, France, Scotland, Bermuda, Hawaii, and Italy.
