The Rustic Bridge of the Parklands

Well, you asked for it, you got it. On Saturday, October 14, 2000 your Webmaster and "The Staff of One" set off on a trek to the Rustic Bridge. It was a wonderful day, the sun was out, the birds were singing, it was a great day for a walk in the woods. We arrived at the bathhouse about 2:15pm and set out on our task. About ten minutes of strolling by ourselves, we heard a strange sound. It was like no bird I have ever heard, it's call was "Glennniss...". At that time we realized that it wasn't a bird but some classmates that wanted to join us on our jaunt to the Rustic Bridge. As they rounded the corner we saw it was Priscilla (Knight) Elliott (1956), Linda (George) Massey (1956) and Daniel Malloy Jr. (1986) After a few minutes of introductions and pleasantries we set off again on our stroll. Along the way Priscilla, Linda, Dan and Glenis reminisced of their youth playing in The Parklands. After a while we heard a strange noise and the ground began to rumble. All of a sudden around the bend came the source of the commotion. It was the State Police playing with one of their toys. What a site to see on the path. We all wondered it the bridge would still be standing after the tracked vehicle passed. We arrived at the bridge and found it was indeed still standing. As I took the pictures, the gang went to the bridge to wait for me to finish my work. While waiting, Priscilla took the opportunity to promote the web site to anyone that passed along the bridge. After my work here was done, we continued on, following the old Hopedale-Grafton railroad tracks, back to civilization. An enjoyable day was had by all.

PS.
The purple triangles are not a supernatural event, they are sunspots on the lens of the camera.
