After Hopedale High Bill went to East Coast Aerotech and
then entered the US Army.
We were married in 1956. In 1957 Bill hired on with Northeast
Airlines ("Yellow Birds")
which merged with Delta in 1972. When he retired at the mandatory
age of sixty,
he was flying Boeing 727's.
I went to the University of Massachusetts, taught a year,
and started the
staying-at-home-with-the-kids thing. If anyone else did that,
you know that leads to
a lot of volunteering - schools, hospitals, church. We moved
from Hopedale to
Cape Cod a year before Bill retired, after summering here
for many years.
We have become enamored of Hawaii and have visited there almost
every
January since Bill retired, thanks to Delta passes.
Life has some surprises - along the way, Bill became a square-dance
caller/teacher!
